Organizers
of the Athens Grease Festival are seeking food and craft vendors.
The
Grease Fest is a celebration of Athens' namesake as well as fried foods. The
event will showcase a number of foods and crafts as well as live music and
Olympic themed activities.
The
fee for food vendors will be $200 for a 10 by 10 foot space. Additional space
can be purchased for $50. Food vendors are asked to provide at least one fried
item.
Vendors
can also compete for the titles of best fried vegetable, best fried meat, best
fried dessert and most outrageous.
Organizers
are also seeking craft vendors for the event. Application fee is $75 with
additional space at $50.
The event will be September 29 in downtown Athens from 10 a.m. to 11 p.m.
