ARDMORE, AL (WAFF) -
A fire destroyed a family's home on Bethel Road in Ardmore Wednesday night.
The fire started around 7:40 p.m., and firefighters said the house was a total loss.
The family of five who lived there included two sons and a daughter. They were all at church when the fire started, and none of them were injured. They are staying at a hotel.
Five fire departments responded to the fire including Oak Grove, Piney Chapel, East Limestone, Elkmont and Primary volunteer fire departments.
Firefighters used more than 24,000 gallons of water to put the fire out. They have not determined what started the fire.
