TUSCALOOSA, AL (WBRC) -
The Bryant Museum in Tuscaloosa is working on a plan to preserve Crimson Tide memories and memorbilia forever.
The need to safeguard the treasures took on a new meaning after the April 27 tornado. Now the museum wants to start a daunting project: create digital copies of the thousands of hours of Tide footage. That way, these precious memories can be backed up and stored in multiple locations.
Right now the museum is in the early stages of the project, and according to the museum director, it's going to cost a pretty penny.
"Technology-wise and time-wise it may be a million plus to do everything and it would take years to do that to pull that off," said Ken Gaddy.
