Blood supply levels are at critical lows. Our string of severe weather has decreased much needed blood donations. Let's build our area blood inventory back up! Support the WAFF 48 Back-To-School Blood Drive. Donate in honor of a loved one lost or struggling with a health hardship… Donate to help others in need of blood now… Donate to help your community.
Want the VIP Experience or extra cash for class? Save lives this summer! All presenting volunteer donors at the WAFF 48 Back-To-School Blood Drive will receive a FREE slice of CiCi's Pizza (while supplies last,) a FREE Sports Clips haircut coupon, a FREE Walgreens Walking Kit (pedometer, journal, bag), plus a chance to win one of three $1,000 gift cards. But wait?! There's more! The first 25 donors will receive a pair of Disney on Ice tickets. All WAFF 48 Back-To-School Blood Drive donors get a Disney on Ice discount and entered to win a Disney on Ice VIP Experience. Wow! You might be too cool for school with cash, haircuts, and Disney fun!
Feel great when you donate! Every pint counts. Your blood donation helps meet the needs of hospital patients. One pint of blood can save up to three lives. Every two seconds, someone needs a blood transfusion. Blood can't be manufactured; it can only come from volunteer donors.
Get ready for your donation. Drink plenty of fluids. Wear something comfortable. Eat iron rich foods. Bring a list of medications you are taking and your ID.
