HUNTSVILLE, AL (WAFF) -
A car smashed into a young child riding a bicycle on Bonnell Drive at Medland Road Monday night.
HEMSI transported the boy to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The driver stopped and cooperated with police investigating the accident scene. No names have been released.
Witnesses said it's not the first time something like this has happened on this section of street.
"We should at least have some caution signs, child playing or something, you know now, like how they have in the parks and stuff. We need something like that because it could have been my little brothers out there that got hit at that time," said William Everson.
Another bicyclist was hit by a car on Bonnell Drive back in May. That bicyclist suffered serious injuries in that crash.
