MADISON COUNTY, AL (WAFF) -

Rainfall from last week helped but did little to lift the water restrictions in the Harvest-Monrovia area.

Customers will have to stay on a mandatory level three water restriction.

The Harvest-Monrovia Water Authority said their customers have stepped up and listened to the restrictions, and it is helping.

Since Friday, tanks have been at 75 to 80 percent full - a major difference from just two weeks ago when all tank levels were either below or right at 50 percent.

With it that low, it had the potential to cause some problems with water pressure that can affect the ability to fight fires and the demand on normal water use.

People are complying, but levels can better, so the area will remain on a mandatory water restriction.

All outside water use is still restricted to just two days a week for each customer between the hours of midnight and 4 a.m.
