GUNTERSVILLE, AL (WAFF) -
A drug bust in Guntersville led to the arrest of three people and the shutdown of three active meth labs Sunday.
Guntersville Police arrested three people at a mobile home on Drew Road in Marshall County just after 12 p.m.
Jerry Swearengin, 39, Jessica Wilson, 24, and Virgil Thompson Jr., 49, were taken into custody Sunday after being caught by police with marijuana and drug paraphernalia. Guntersville Police said Thompson initially ran out the back door of the mobile home into a wooded area but was caught within minutes.
All three people were charged with manufacturing and possession of a controlled substance, and possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.
Thompson was also wanted for outstanding warrants for probation violation and nationwide extradition.
All three people are booked in the Guntersville City Jail.
