Two Alabama auto plants made the list of 15 busiest in America for 2011.
Automobile Magazine announced that plants in Montgomery and Lincoln were among the busiest manufacturers in the nation.
The Hyundai plant in Montgomery was number three on the list, behind two Ford manufacturers. The plant was reported at producing more than 340,000 vehicles.
The plant produced an estimated 220,000 Sonatas and 110,000 Elantras.
The Honda plant in Lincoln came in at number eight on the list. It was reported at producing more than 260,000.
A Nissan plant in Tennessee made the list with an estimated 333,000 vehicles and a Kia plant in Georgia cranked out more than 280,000 cars.
Of the 15 plants that made the list, more than half were American brand car companies.
