DECATUR, AL (WAFF) -
The southbound lanes of Interstate 65 are shut down while emergency crews work a wreck on the Tennessee River Bridge.
An 18-wheeler traveling south on I-65 lost control around 2 p.m., hit a guard rail and ping-ponged back to the other side before stopping. The guardrails on both sides of the southbound lanes of the bridge are damaged.
The truck was the only vehicle involved in the accident and the driver was not injured.
All southbound lanes are shut down until they move the truck off of the bridge.
Southbound I-65 shut down because of wreck.
