STAMPS, AR (KSLA) -

KSLA News 12 has just learned the name of the deceased teen and how he died in a fireworks accident in Buckner, Arkansas.

Deputy Pete Richardson of the Lafayette County Sheriff's Office says 17-year-old Justin Smith and his 17-year-old friend taped 300 sparklers together to make a sparkler bomb.  He says the two lit the fuse and then tried to put a bucket over the contraption, but it exploded before they could get away.

Emergency crews took the two teens to Magnolia Hospital where Justin was pronounced dead.  The other teen is in stable condition. His identity has not been released.

We have a crew in Lafayette County gathering the latest developments.  We'll bring you new information as it becomes available.
