HUNTSVILLE, AL (WAFF) -
Police responded to a vehicle that caught on fire after crashing into a rock on Monte Sano Mountain early Wednesday morning.
Officers said a Ford F-150 was traveling up Highway 431 when it hit a curb and collided with a boulder and caught fire.
Three passengers were inside and were able to get out without serious injuries. One passenger said he was looking for his things on the ground when he saw the truck catch fire.
Firefighters were able to put it out quickly.
The driver of the truck was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
All 3 passengers escaped the truck.
