HUNTSVILLE, AL (WAFF) -
Firefighters in Huntsville battled a massive house fire early Tuesday morning.
Just after 1:30 a.m., 911 received a call about a house fire at 2416 Autumn Ridge Drive in southwest Huntsville.
Several fire units responded to the scene. Firefighters saw flames shooting out of the roof. They also found the family who lived in the home safely made it outside.
It took about 20 minutes for firefighters to extinguish the flames. The cause of the fire is not yet known, but the fire was concentrated in the middle of the home.
Red Cross is helping the family find a new place to live and the fire is under investigation.
