Madison County Sheriff's Deputies are searching for a major spice trafficker after they arrested two people for selling it at the Discount Tobacco Outlet on Highway 231 and Max Way in Hazel Green.
Authorities arrested Saeed Zamini and Christopher Moon for selling spice at Hazel Green's Discount Tobacco. However, authorities are still searching for Mark Clark. Police believe Clark is a major supplier of spice and gave the product to the tobacco store.
Authorities were alerted about the synthetic marijuana sales last week. Information regarding two teens went to the hospital after smoking spice led authorities to the business.
"From what I understand its one chemical away from a bug killer," Sergeant Brian Chaffin of the Madison County Sheriff's Department. "It can cause all kinds of health problems brain damage kidney failure."
Investigators recovered nearly $50,000 of synthetic marijuana from the store. Zamini sold the spice to an undercover agent. The store has since re-opened and is still selling tobacco.
