ALBERTVILLE, AL (WAFF) -
An Albertville city park destroyed two years ago by a tornado will soon be back in service.
City leaders held a groundbreaking and dedication for Graham Park Thursday morning.
The park, along with Albertville High School, were destroyed in April 2010 when a tornado came through.
The city and Keep Albertville Beautiful helped raise $24,000 to rebuild it.
A construction company has been hired, but the city is also looking for volunteers.
"We wanted to have a community project that we worked on together, and we had a building activity out of it, and so we are going to come together as a group and erect it one Saturday," said Melody Whitten with Keep Albertville Beautiful.
Whitten said they hope to have the playground erected in the next four weeks.
