Crews battle morning apartment fire

HUNTSVILLE, AL (WAFF) -

Crews are on the scene of an apartment fire on High Ridge Drive.

The fire broke out around 8:15 a.m. on the corner of High Ridge Drive and Golf Road.

Crews had the fire contained by 8:45 but are still working to extinguish it.

A neighbor said the apartment the fire started in was abandoned. Officials believe the fire started in a crawl space.

No injuries have been reported. The cause of the fire is unknown.
