HUNTSVILLE, AL (WAFF) -
The City of Huntsville received a new electric car Tuesday.
Cathy Anderson of Woody Anderson Ford presented a Ford Focus
electric car to the city in recognition of it commitment to clean energy.
The car gets a reported 105 miles per gallon. It will save
the city an estimated $2,000 in fuel costs a year.
"The new electric vehicle will be an excellent way for us to
see firsthand how we could transition to a greener and more cost-effective City
fleet," said Mayor Battle. "I would like to offer my deepest thanks to
Cathy Anderson for giving us this car and this opportunity."
