GUNTERSVILLE, AL (WAFF) -
Some parts of the Valley are finally seeing some relief at the pump.
Several gas stations in Marshall County are now below the $3 mark.
Motorists are happy but want prices to continue to fall.
Believe it or not, some people at the pump said it wasn't any big deal for them.
"It's very good news. I'm glad to see the prices are down. It makes traveling a lot easier," said Alan Murphy.
"Oh, I love gas prices. It's getting better. They're going down. Everybody loves it. It helps out a lot," said Derral Crain.
So, when were gas prices below $3?
"A year ago? A year and a half? Been a while. I can't remember," said Crain.
"Ah, maybe two years ago. Two and a half years ago? I don't really recall," Murphy said.
It's not just motorists who are enjoying some relief at the pump but so are those who use gas as part of their business.
"I need gas to run a machine to drive my van, and it helps greatly coming down like this," said Julie Segars.
But not everyone is all excited about the lower gas prices.
You may think the owner of a motor home would be thrilled, especially with the many gallons it takes to fill it up.
"About 120 - so how much do you think it will cost to fill it up?!" said Raymond Sears.
But if your motor home runs on diesel, you just don't get to enjoy the benefit when diesel prices run more than $3.40 a gallon.
And then there are those who get really great gas mileage.
"It could be $3 or $5. It would be alright with me, but I would rather it be $3," said Donnie Nichols.
There could be more good news.
Some people said they're hearing prices could drop even more.
