Stars get win on the road to start second half

A ninth inning, solo homerun by Kentrail Davis was the difference as the Huntsville Stars began the second half of the Southern League season on a positive note with a 4-3 victory over the Jackson Generals, The Stars went out to an early 3-0 lead against the first half champs in the first inning with an RBI single by first baseman Hunter Morris and a 2-run homerun by left fielder Scott Kreiger.

After the Generals scored a run in the third, fifth, and seventh inning to tie up the ballgame, the homerun by Davis off of reliever Jonathan Arias ended up being the game-winning run. Stars LHP Mitch Stetter improved to 1-0 on the season as he earned the win in 0.2 innings of relief and RHP Jesus Sanchez notched his eighth save of the season with a scoreless ninth inning.
