MARSHALL COUNTY, AL (WAFF) -
Taqueria y Restaurante Mi Princesa in Boaz scored a 74 with the Marshall County Health Department.
The health inspector reported employees were drinking while prepping food. They also reported finding loose wires on a fryer strainer and unlabeled cleaner bottles stored with food and dishes.
El Camino Real in Albertville remained on the health department reinspection schedule by failing to score 85. The restaurant previously scored an 82, and scored an 84 during their reinspection. The health inspector reported the prep cooler was 55 degrees, which is 14 degrees above the cold-holding food temperature required to prevent bacterial growth.
The El Camino Real in Albertville rose 15 points from a 72 to an 87 during their reinspection.
The Liberty 2000 in Meridianville scored an 81 for the second straight inspection. A Madison County health inspector reported the inside of the ice machine was dirty and that sausages were held below the required hot-holding food temperature.
The Decatur Applebee's rose six points, scoring a 90 during their reinspection.
The K May Donuts in the 1800 block of 6th Avenue in Decatur, scoring a 92 during their second reinspection after scoring 83 and 82 before.
The Butter and Egg Grocery in Hazel Green rose 14 points, scoring an 89 during their reinspection.
