MADISON, AL (WAFF) -
Madison City Schools announced Nelson Brown as the new principal at Liberty Middle School.
Brown was chosen for the position after Brian Clayton left to take on the principal position at James Clemens High School.
Brown was formerly the principal at Columbia Elementary. He has served in the position since 2010, but has been with Columbia since 2007.
Brown has worked his entire career in the Madison City school system.
Brown attended Athens State University.
