FLORENCE, AL (WAFF) -
A robber in the Shoals remains at large after hitting a local store.
Police are looking for leads that will help them track down the crook.
Store owner Darryl Robinson said he was on the phone with his employee checking on the store when she told him, "Oh my gosh! I gotta go."
It happened just after 9 Tuesday night at the D&D's QuikMart on Highway 20 near Waterloo Road.
Officials said a man armed with a gun walked into the store with his face covered demanding money.
The store's owner said this is the second time in the last seven years his store has been robbed.
He said if he was there, he would've taken matters into his own hands, but now all he can do is hope police catch the man responsible.
"It's very frustrating, and you feel violated and just very angry that someone would do something like that," said Robinson.
If you have any information on the robbery or if you saw anything suspicious in the area along Highway 20 Tuesday night, you're asked to call the Florence Police Department.
