DECATUR, AL (WAFF) -
Decatur police arrested one person after a Decatur couple
reported stolen checks.
The victims told police some of their checks were stole,
forged and cashed. All of the checks forged were made payable to Christopher
Simpson, the victims' son.
Simpson was stopped on June 20 for a suspended license. He
was brought to the police station for further investigation.
Simpson was arrested and charged with six counts of forgery
second degree. His bond was set at $15,000.
