DECATUR, AL (WAFF) -
Decatur police arrested a man Tuesday charged with sexually abusing
an 8-year-old girl.
Investigators said the girl's father reported the crime in November
of 2011. He said 30-year-old Juan Avelino-Dominguez inappropriately touched the
girl at a residence on Westwood Drive.
On April 27, Avelino-Dominguez was indicted on sexual abuse
of a child under 12.
Avelino-Dominguez surrendered himself to police on June 19.
He was transferred to Morgan County Jail on $10,000 bond.
