MOULTON, AL (WAFF) -
Lawrence County officials arrested a man charged in a
13-year-old rape case.
Investigators arrested 43-year-old Ray Duncan of Moulton
Tuesday after a lengthy investigation. Duncan was charged with rape first
degree and rape second degree.
Duncan is accused of raping a female family member in 1999.
Officials said a second victim came forward to Moulton Police. Officials said
after receiving the complaints, investigators looked into the evidence before
charging Duncan.
Authorities said there is no statute of limitations on rape
cases so prosecution can be sought in old cases.
Duncan was released from Lawrence County Jail on $35,000
bail.
