HUNTSVILLE, AL (WAFF) -
The Madison County School System hired a new Director of Elementary Education.
Lorraine Boone will begin on July 1 in the position. She will replace Dr. Rita Cantrell who is leaving to assume the position of Director of Curriculum with Buford City Schools in Georgia.
Boone has worked in Madison County for 21 years and been an educator for 30. For the previous two years, Boone was the Director of Special Education.
