HUNTSVILLE, AL (WAFF) -
Employees of a Huntsville company are taking matters into their own hands to find an iPhone thief.
Security video posted on YouTube shows a man walk into PowerBookMedic at Henderson Road and University Drive. An associate is on the phone at the front desk and leaves when the offender walks through the front door. The man looks around the store, leans over the front counter and picks up the employee's iPhone.
The offender walks out the front door and drives away in a white vehicle.
The video names the person believed to have stolen the iPhone, but WAFF 48 News has not independently confirmed that information.
According to the information included with the video on YouTube, the criminal tried to sell the company an iPhone they suspected was stolen. They refused to purchase the phone.
They said he returned to the store and stole the employee's iPhone 3G from behind the counter.
If you have any information about this crime, contact Huntsville Police at 256-722-7100.
