To cap off their schedule for the first half of the Southern League season, the Huntsville Stars beat the Montgomery Biscuits by a score of 3-1 at Joe Davis Stadium on Sunday.
The Stars got their offense early, as a leadoff homerun by center fielder Josh Prince in the first inning and a two-run single by shortstop Tommy Manzella was all Huntsville needed.
Starting pitcher Hiram Burgos improved to 2-1 on the year after given up just one run on three hits through six innings. The victory gives the Stars a record of 35-35 after the first half.
Following Tuesday's All-Star game, the Stars will begin the second half of their season with five games on the road against the Jackson Generals starting on Thursday.
