NEW HOPE, AL (WAFF) -
A two car accident caused authorities to shut down all lanes of traffic in New Hope Sunday afternoon.
It happened on Highway 431 and Johnson Avenue.
Authorities said a white Pontiac and a black Dodge Durango collided, and one person was trapped inside the Pontiac; that victim was taken to the hospital by Medflight.
Officials said at least three others were taken to the hospital by ambulance.
Authorities had to re-route traffic in efforts to clear the scene. All lanes have since re-opened, but the victim's names have not been released.
