Officials release name of Hazel Green fatality

Alabama State Troopers are investigating a fatal accident in Hazel Green.

Troopers said it happened at 1:17 a.m. off of Kinnard Mill Road and Highway 231. Hazel Green Volunteer fire department, Madison County sheriff's department and Alabama State Troopers responded to the scene.

Officials said one vehicle rear-ended a car which struck 26-year-old Derrel Arrington. He died on the scene.

Investigators said the incident was accidental and there will be no charges.
