On Friday night, the Huntsville Stars snapped their nine-game losing streak with a 6-4 victory over the Montgomery Biscuits. In his Double-A debut, Stars starting pitcher improved to 1-0 on the season after giving up three runs on five hits in five innings pitched.
After falling behind by a score of 3-1 initially, a 2-run single by Hunter Morris in the fifth inning put Huntsville up for good. Stars reliever Jesus Sanchez pitched a scoreless ninth inning for his sixth save of the season.
Game four of a five-game series will be played on Saturday as the Stars will send RHP Kyle Heckathorn (2-5, 4.35 ERA) to the mound to square off against Biscuits RHP Joseph Cruz (3-6, 5.59 ERA). First pitch is at 6:43 PM.
