Huntsville police have charged a Birmingham man with first degree robbery.

Officials charged 21-year-old Mikkael Ingram with one count of first degree robbery for the Nov. 15, 2011 robbery of the Mac Resource Store on University Drive.

The arrest was a result of a lengthy investigation by Huntsville and Birmingham departments into two robberies at the Mac Resource Store.

The Mac Resource store owner said he's relieved the offender was caught and hope he stays behind bars, but he hopes the remaining suspects are caught.

Officials said they are following up on other leads in the case and additional arrests are anticipated.

Ingram was transported to Madison County Jail.

Showers and storms will be ongoing across the Valley this evening. The most widespread rain will be over northeastern AL, but additional scattered storms will track into the Shoals from the west. That round of stormy weather will head east with time and should be out of the Valley after midnight. The threat for severe storms is low, but a few strong storms are possible.
