Crime Stoppers: Police search for couple who stole purse, cash

HUNTSVILLE, AL (WAFF) -

A couple of wanted purse snatchers are on the run. Police hope you can help bring them to justice.

Police said on January 2 at the Walmart on University Drive, a woman left her purse, with hundreds of dollars inside, sitting in the cart. She returned moments later after realizing she left it, but it was gone.

Police said as the wanted couple was leaving Walmart, the man noticed the purse, grabbed it and they immediately went to their car and left.

Madison Police later found the stolen purse behind the Hardee's on Highway 72, but the cash was gone.

Officers said the man was wearing black shorts and a blue pullover with "Gatlinburg Tennessee" across the front. The woman was wearing jeans and a dark long-sleeved shirt.
