ATHENS, AL (WAFF) -
An Athens man was treated at Athens Limestone Hospital after he accidentally shot himself in the hand.
Officials said the man showed up at the police station Tuesday morning with a gunshot to the hand. He said he was showing the gun to a friend when it went off and struck his hand.
He said it happened on Dexter Drive, just a few blocks from the station.
