HUNTSVILLE, AL (WAFF) -

Two fatal accidents months apart at the same Huntsville intersection have a lot of people questioning the safety of Cecil Ashburn and Avalon Drive.

On Sunday 22-year-old Aral Hernandez-Roblero died after losing control of his vehicle and colliding with another car.

Back in December, two 20-year-old women died in a similar accident at the same intersection.

A memorial now lines Cecil Ashburn and Avalon drive. Heather Suddoth works at the bottom of the mountain. She said everyone is aware at how dangerous the road is.

"You can't tell how fast they're coming down that hill and sometimes they get to you a lot faster than normal," she said.

Cars were clocked going way over the posted 40-mile-per hour speed limit.

People who work in the area said they are not surprised at what has happened over the last few months.
