DECATUR, AL (WAFF) -

Decatur Police were at the scene of a second shooting in a neighborhood where 33-year-old Houston "Glenn" Blackwood was murdered last weekend.

Police said a Blackwood's friend, identified as Komak Love, was shot in the neck after an altercation around 3 p.m. Friday afternoon.

It happened near the same area where Blackwood was shot and killed at his home on Chestnut Street last Saturday.

Friends and family were gathered in front of the Blackwood home for a cook-out, shortly after Blackwood's funeral.

Love was med-flighted to Huntsville Hospital where he's listed in stable condition, according to police.

Relatives say Love was a close friend of Blackwood's.

Police are still investigating who fired the shot that injured Love. Officers originally had David Allen Gullatte in custody. He was suspected of shooting Love, but was later determined not to have been the assailant.

Earlier Friday, three Decatur teens were arrested and charged with capital murder on the very day Blackwood was laid to rest.

Jameson Dartelle Staten, Steve Oneal King Jr. and Lorin Wilson will be tried as adults.
