Police: Hunt for murder suspect focuses on Selma

SELMA, AL (AP) -

The search for a man charged with killing two 9-year-old twins and their 73-year-old baby sitter is focusing on Selma and surrounding Dallas County.

Selma Police Chief William Riley said Friday authorities have received tips from several people who saw 22-year-old Deandra Marquis Lee around the city.

Riley says Lee is known in the area. Also, investigators say a car belonging to 1 of the victims was found in a community about 30 miles south of Selma. The doors were missing.

Lee is wanted in the slayings of twins Jordan Dejerinett and his sister Taylor, plus 73-year-old Jack Mac Girdner. Authorities say Girdner was a retired anesthesiologist who sometimes babysat the children.

The bodies of all three were found Tuesday in rural Lowndes County. Police say they were shot.
