LAUDERDALE COUNTY, AL (WAFF) -
Lauderdale County Sheriff's deputies arrested the third and final person in the stabbing death of a handicapped man.
50-year-old David Pennington was stabbed 70 times at his home in May of 2011. Officials said the man was wheelchair bound.
"From the information we're getting, they go around and they would trade
sex for drugs, money whatever they can get in that nature and according
to statements we have, that's what was going on that night and they
were trying to get some money and according to witnesses she went in and
whatever went wrong in the house and she stabbed him," said Deputy Travis Clemmons.
Tiffany Nunley was arrested previously and released. Investigators said there was not enough evidence to charge her.
Officials took the case to the grand jury and indicted Nunley on capital murder. That was nearly a month ago and investigators have been looking for her ever since.
Officials said she altered her appearance to elude law enforcement but never left town. She was arrested Wednesday.
John Junior Minton and Jessica Nunley were indicted on capital murder charges in May of 2012.
