LIMESTONE COUNTY, AL (WAFF) -
A one-vehicle accident in Limestone County sent at least two people to the hospital Sunday night.
State Troopers said a 14-year-old boy was driving an SUV when it lost control along Slate Road near Elkmont around 6 p.m.
The driver and a 16-year-old passenger were both taken to the hospital with injuries. Troopers said neither teen was wearing their seatbelt.
A witness said she saw the SUV lose control on a sharp curve, flip over twice and eject one person from the vehicle.
"What I saw was when they left the road and they started flipping. The boy was thrown out the back window and the driver, he did not get thrown out. It was one of the passengers," Pat Beddingfield said, a witness.
