Taking advantage of four Mississippi Braves errors, the Huntsville Stars rolled to a 6-2 victory on Saturday night at Joe Davis Stadium, In front of 7,000+ fans, the Stars snapped a two-game losing streak overall.
Starts starting pitcher Josh Stinson improved to 7-2 on the season after giving up just two runs in six innings of work. On offense, Huntsville-native Hunter Morris chipped in with his fourth homerun of the year, a two-run shot in the eighth inning.
On Sunday, the Stars and M-Braves will play a doubleheader as part of a rescheduled game from a rainout earlier this season. First pitch for game one is at 2:03 PM, with game two beginning approximately 30 minutes following the conclusion of the first game.
