ETOWAH COUNTY, AL (WAFF) -
Etowah County Sheriff's officers arrested a man charged with
aggravated stalking.
Officials said that Danny Sims stalked a female and made
threatening phone calls and text messages. He allegedly stole a 1991 Toyota
Corolla from her home. He was reportedly in a relationship with the woman at
one time.
Officers arrested Sims after he was found hiding in the
attic of a Leeth Gap Road attic.
"We take seriously finding those who violate domestic
violence orders and intend harm to their victims," said Sheriff Todd
Entrekin. "I commend all the deputies and agents who were involved in
located this dangerous criminal."
Sims was charged with one count of aggravated stalking, one
count of first degree theft of property, two counts of violation of a domestic
violence protection order and one count of resisting arrest.
Sims has a history of arrest and protection violations.
