A recall was announced for clip-on desk lamps sold at Lowe's
stores nationwide.
The recall said the lamps posed a shock hazard. The power cord
can detach where it meets the clamp, exposing energized wires.
There have been at least five reports of cords detaching,
including one reporting electrical shock and one report where a child received
burns to her arm and leg.
The recall involved pink and blue plastic LED desk lamps
with flexible metal neck. Consumers should stop using the lamps immediately.
The recall information recommends unplugging the power cord,
cutting the cord two to three inches above the plug, discarding the lamp and
sending the plug to:
HE SHAN LIDE
4570 EUCALYPTUS AVE, SUITE C
CHINO, CA 91710
Consumers should also include name and address to receive a
full refund. Include the cost of postage for returning the plug.
