HUNTSVILLE, AL (WAFF) -
A Huntsville man is recovering after being hit by a car.
The vehicle struck the bicyclist at the intersection of Barrington Road and Bonnell Drive. The impact shattered the windshield of the car.
Police say the bicyclist is expected to be ok.
Residents in the area say drivers speed in the neighborhood and it's unsafe. Some neighbors say with summer here, more children will be playing in the area.
They are calling for speed bumps or other devices that might slow down traffic on the road.
The driver of the car in this accident does not face charges.
The car's windshield shattered after hitting the bicyclist on Bonnell Drive.
