Marshall County principals moved to new schools under realignment plan

MARSHALL COUNTY, AL (WAFF) -

Several principals in Marshall County are in new schools after some shuffling within the system.

Seven of Marshall County's schools will get new principals under a new realignment plan.  Superintendent Tim Nabors said none of the principals are being forced to go to other schools.

He said the transfers can be good to help the principals keep their skills sharp.

"I think it's admirable that you can realize that in yourself. All that is doing is saying, hey you know I want to do what's best for the system and I think it's time for me to move. Nobody was forced to move. We didn't make any changes for any other reason," he said.

Two of the principal moves came as a result of retirements.
