HUNTSVILLE, AL (WAFF) -

A Madison County grand jury indicted Safia and Iqbal Memon on charges on hindering prosecution.

The Memons are accused of trying to get their son Hammad out of the United States before his murder trial. Police caught Hammad and Safia Memon in Dallas. According to investigators they had a large amount of cash and Pakistani passports.

Hammad Memon is charged with the February 2010 murder of Todd Brown. Brown was shot and killed during a class change at Discovery Middle School. Memon's murder trial was set for June but has been postponed. A new trial date has not been set. Hammad Memon is in jail without bond.

Iqbal and Safia Memon had a preliminary hearing set for June.
