Police arrest Decatur woman for forgery

DECATUR, AL (WAFF) -

On Thursday, May 17th, 2012, a woman attempted to cash a forged check at the Bud's Store on Highway 20 in Decatur. 

When the police were called, the woman left the store before they arrived. She left her driver's license inside the store. 

On May 20th, 2012, the Decatur Police Department received a call in reference to a forged check at the same location in Decatur. 38-year-old Timika Kiona Whitfield-Lee returned to the store for her driver's license. The clerk called police and she arrested at the scene. 

Lee was charged with one count of 2nd degree possession of a forged instrument.

She was booked on a $2,500 bond.
