MADISON COUNTY, AL (WAFF) -
An Alabama State Trooper was injured in a wreck and transported to the hospital for treatment.
The wreck happened on Highway 53 at Kelly Springs Road around 2:30 p.m. Wednesday.
The officer was taken to Huntsville Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. It's unclear how the accident happened.
Traffic was backed up while crews worked the scene.
