HUNTSVILLE, AL (WAFF) -
Huntsville Police responded to a car crashing into a home May 13.
It happened Sunday around 3:30 p.m. on Ventura Drive.
Police said three men slammed the SUV into home and ran from the scene. Neighbors saw them running and quickly apprehended them until police arrived.
Police said that the driver was speeding on Flamingo Road and lost control of his vehicle. He attempted to stop at a stop sign at Flamingo Road and Ventura Drive but was unable to.
The homeowner said he was inside when he heard a loud boom. He went outside to see what was going on and that's when he discovered damage to his home. Police said damages to the home were minor.
The driver was issued a ticket for lack of insurance and cited for the damage. HEMSI treated one person for injuries on the scene.
