SYLVANIA, AL (WAFF) -
The Freedom From Religion Foundation plans to seek legal
matters after council announced the decision on the Sylvania welcome signs.
The FFRF said they heard the news early Wednesday morning
and plans on looking into legal litigation against the town.
The Sylvania city council voted unanimously to return the
bible scripture "One Lord, One Faith, One Baptism" to their welcome signs,
however they would leave off the attribution to Ephesians.
The FFRF claimed it is illegal to have the verse on the sign
and they called it an "unwise move." They have not sent any additional letters
to the town yet.
