A high-profile Huntsville dance studio owner spent the morning in jail.
Ann Brown of Ann's Studio of Dance was charged with misdemeanor disorderly conduct. The charge stemmed from an altercation in a parking lot near her business which was a result of an on-going battle over parking spaces.
A business next to Brown's studio said that she threatened another business owner in early April and that's when authorities got involved. Brown had no comment on the situation.
The altercation happened April 4 when a tow truck pulled into the lot. A medical business shares the lot with Brown. The clinic claimed several cars parked illegally and wanted them towed.
Mike Lapp, the tow truck driver said that Brown confronted him when he attempted to tow the cars. He said Brown went "ballistic" and told him he was not allowed to touch her dance studio vehicles. Lapp claimed Brown told him he was going to be sued and that she said "you can't leave these young girls stranded."
He also stated she was profane and called him a number of obscenities. She also spoke with the medical clinic owner who captured it all on camera.
Brown is due in court Friday morning at 8:30 to answer for the charge.
