PRICEVILLE, AL (WAFF) -
State Troopers say 25-year-old Brittany Butler of Falkville died in a wreck on I-65 around 8:45 Tuesday night.
It happened at the 334 exit going south on I-65.
Troopers say Butler ran off the left side of the road and over-corrected. Then they say she ran off the right side of the road, flipped the vehicle, hit a guardrail and then a concrete overpass column.
Butler was trapped in the vehicle. Firefighters had to cut off the top of the car to get her out. They pronounced her dead on the scene.
Troopers blocked off the southbound lane of I-65 for about an hour while investigating the accident. Those lanes have since reopened.
Fatal accident had traffic backed up on I-65.
